MaintStar, Inc., the original developer and manufacturer of the MaintStar System, began 25 years ago. The System was designed from the user’s perspective. The main goal was, and remains, “ease of use.” Through a steady evolution of upgrades and new developments from those early days, the System is currently serving the needs of more than 200 agencies nationwide. We believe MaintStar today is the most comprehensive, but easiest to use Enterprise Asset & Maintenance Management System on the market. There are currently two versions: Client/Server and fully Web-based. Each version includes more than thirty specialized modules. Both versions can be tightly integrated with the most popular GIS products on the market.

MaintStar Inc. is not only responsible for the development of its System, but also for all the Implementation and Training.  We have worked with small and large Municipalities, spread over many departments, each with their own unique needs and requirements. We work with our clients very closely during all phases of System Implementation and Training.

As with most Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), MaintStar is all about work management; but, our System also includes “Activities Based Planning,” along with Budgeting, Scheduling and Tracking of all work performed on your infrastructure assets. An asset history is automatically built from Corrective and Preventive Maintenance Work Orders, as well as Inspections. The ability to track, analyze and manage all your work allows for better planning and scheduling, thus improving efficiency and productivity.

Solid GIS-Asset Integration

Two-way GIS Integration allows for a visual display of linear assets, with the corresponding ability to generate Work Orders directly from your maps. MaintStar works with municipalities that are just getting started in the GIS area, as well as those who have been using this capability for years.

MaintStar has a record of flexibility and responsiveness in meeting customer needs - we listen - and we respond. At a recent MaintStar User’s Group meeting, we proudly reported that 36 of the 40 suggestions and recommendations made at the previous get together had already been incorporated into our latest product release. The response was enthusiastic, to say the least.

You don’t have to be a computer genius to run our System, because MaintStar employs the “1-Click Strategy” to perform functions that other systems often require multiple screens to accomplish. Since we believe each operation is unique, we have designed the MaintStar System to be completely flexible and customizable – it adapts to your processes and the way you do business, not the other way around. You decide how your screens will look. Complete customization can be accomplished by anyone, and there is no computer programming expertise required. You don’t have to pay us extra to do it for you – you do it yourself. Plus, your customized screens and settings will not be overridden by our standard upgrades.

Finally, MaintStar includes its own special Report Writer which allows you to create custom reports in minutes. You won’t have to purchase expensive third party products which are hard to master and difficult to support.
